From Pastor Charles: I visit Ashburn weekly on Tuesdays to study the Bible with some saints who live at an age 55+ community. The housing is called “Wingler House”.
The fellowship and study has become affectionately known as “The Ashburn Saints” and we meet to learn together, encourage one another in the faith and pray. The saints who attend are from 58 to 88 years old, and have very diverse socio-economic, ethnic and denominational backgrounds (some are Reformed, but some are Premill-Dispensationalists, too). We meet because we believe upon the LORD Jesus Christ and focus on the Gospel of grace.
Because this is a kind of satellite group of our congregation, I would like to place these brothers and sisters on our prayer requests weekly, and encourage you that if you have time and are willing and able, that you would join me as part of our congregation on a Tuesday. Perhaps you would consider coming by yourself or with your family. This is a great opportunity to minister to your brethren, as well as learn from those who have been in Christ for many more years than you.
Would you pray that the studies would glorify God and edify Christ’s people? Would you pray that in much pain and often difficulty in their lives, these saints would continue to grow in grace and wisdom? Would you pray for many people who do not know Christ to come to the study?
Just recently, we had two unbelieving elderly ladies who attended. One admitted that she had been trusting in her own righteousness as a church-goer for years. I shared the Gospel with both of the ladies and they attend regularly now. It was neat and encouraging to see how God used all of the saints in the study to witness to these unbelievers.
We meet in a central meeting room, and it has proven to be a great witness to Jesus and His Gospel for over a year and a half now.

Would you pray to ask God if he would have you visit with me and join us regularly or from time to time?
I go on Tuesdays at 1PM, and the study and prayers lasts until 2:30 usually.
